September 2020 Marketing and Holiday Planning

Can you believe that it’s already September?

With all of the changes we’ve experienced this year, the time has flown by. But, hopefully, you’re already planning for the holiday season. And while this is to help you plan your marketing for Septemeber’s holidays, now is the time to start planning for the 2020 holiday season that will likely begin hitting us earlier than ever this year.

But it’s September, so let’s talk about what’s happening this month.

The 7th is Labor Day, a day that traditionally heralds the end of summer. So, find ways to help your contacts not only throw a great (socially safe) BBQ but also help them to start bringing in the fall.

September is National Preparedness month — think about how you can help your contacts and community to prepare for the coming winter, the 2020 holiday shopping season, or continuing to adapt to the coronavirus. With that, be sure to handle 9/11 Remembrance Day with sensitivity and have some fun with National Video Game Day.

With all of that going on, the best day in September is the 27th — National Ask a Stupid Question Day. This is the perfect opportunity to have some fun with your online marketing. So, send out a quick survey, ask silly questions on your social media pages, or run a contest for the best answer to a ‘stupid question’. And wrap up the month on a fun, playful, and productive note.
