New Look for Facebook Timeline

Your Facebook Business page is getting a new look.  Several of you already have the new look, did you notice?

Facebook announced in March that its rolling out a streamlined look for Pages on desktop that will make it easier for people to find the information they want and help Page admins find the tools they use most.

Updated Page timeline design
The right-side column of your timeline now displays all your Page’s posts. This one-column display means that all of your posts will appear consistently on your Page and in News Feed.
The left-side column of your timeline features information about your business, including a map, your hours of business, phone number and website URL, as well as photos and videos.
Easier access to key admin tools
No matter where you are on your Page, you can now view information about the ads you’re running and new likes on your Page, as well unread notifications and messages. You can click on any section in the This Week section for more detail.
Facebook also added new navigation options to the top of the Page, making it easier to access your activity, insights and settings. The Build Audience menu at the top of the Page offers direct access to your Ads Manager account.
To prepare for these changes, Red Mango Marketing  updated 4 areas in preparation for these changes.
  1. Adjust your cover photo – The profile photo is the same size but it is now moved up farther into the cover photo image and the title of your page and category is now incorporated in the lower half of your cover photo.  We adjusted any text or important images that may be under the profile photo.
  2. Adjust your category – this is a challenge as Feed Store or General Store isn’t an option.  You’ll find pet services, agricultural services, gardening and other areas that are applicable to your store listed.
  3. Choose your top 3 apps to display  – the apps section can now be found in two places.  Once under the More button right below the cover photo and also on the left sidebar.  We updated all our clients to put email signup in this area.
  4. Adjust any graphics on your apps – our team has checked and made adjustments for any graphic changes with your apps photos.
