Facebook Place Tips is a new feature designed to make it easier for local businesses to connect with customers who are in-store or at their place of business.

Place Tips gathers useful information from a business’s Facebook Page — including posts, upcoming events, recommendations, and check-ins — and displays tips at the top of a user’s News Feed while they’re in the business’s physical location.

Place Tips also gives admins the ability to add a welcome note to new visitors, which will display at the top of the News Feed.

If you’re a business or organization with a physical storefront or office, Place Tips presents a valuable opportunity to connect the WOW! experience you’re already offering at your place of business with the online community you’ve built on your Facebook Page.
