Social Media Promotions

Several of our customers have engaged with social media promotions, including coupons, sweepstakes and photo contests.  Why would you want to do this?

  • Grow your email mailing list
  • Grow you Social Media fans (Facebook, Twitter)
  • Build brand awareness

How successful is this?  Here are a few examples from the last several weeks:

New Braunfels Feed is a pet store and Stihl Distributor.  Their client base is predominately pet folks.  We ran a weekly sweepstakes contest in November & December where folks could “Like” them on Facebook for a chance to win.  Each week they offered a chance to win; a bag of Blue Buffalo dog food, 8 bags of Science Diet, a bag of Nutro Dog Food, a $25 gift card, a John Deere toy tractor, a Breyer horse, and a gift basket.  Over the course of 7 weeks they have gained 213 new Facebook likes. More than 400 people have entered the contests.  Their email list has grown by 100 folks.  And their Facebook page was viewed more than 700 times.  Their website traffic has also increased.  This last contest, a Christmas Holiday Pet Contest has more than 50 entries with folks asking their friends to like the Facebook page and vote for their pet photo.  You can check it out here: http://woobox.com/jt5oe6 They have also yielded 4 new positive reviews on Facebook.

La Vernia Country Store has run 4 weeks of sweepstake promotions.  They have offered dog food, cattle cubes & a Rocking Bull as prizes.  Their Facebook fans have grown by 66 folks, with 100 people entering the contests and more than 220 folks viewing the contests over the last month.  Their email list has also grown.

Desoto Town & Country in Stonewall, LA ran a month long promotion.  Folks had to “Like” their Facebook page and enter (email, name, phone number) for a chance to win a $250 gift card to the store.  They gave away 2 gift cards!  115 new Facebook fans.  We’re still working on the email list!

Gulf Coast Equine & Pet has offered several coupons for savings off horse feed, pet grooming and Christmas Trees.  They sold out of their Christmas Trees in 3 weeks!  Their pet grooming services were pre-booked for the Thanksgiving holiday.  And they introduced a new horse feed and offered a coupon to folks to get them to try it.
